ChatDirect runs on a lightweight, dependency-free stack. No heavy frameworks — just fast, secure PHP and vanilla JavaScript on a dedicated OVH server (Beauharnois, Canada). The platform is powered by Supabase (PostgreSQL + pgvector), also hosted in Canada, for data storage and semantic search. The RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) engine allows clients to upload PDF, Word and TXT documents or index their web pages to automatically enrich their chatbot's responses with real-time semantic search.

Multi-provider AI support means you can choose OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, or Mistral -- or bring your own API key (BYOK) for unlimited conversations on any plan.

ChatDirect is the project of Benoit Descary. What started as a few exploratory vibe coding sessions with Claude Code — Anthropic's development assistant — quickly grew into a full AI chatbot service, built specifically for the French-speaking market.
